Head of Asia Business
Jozica Grenz, Head of Asia Business of Santen since May 1, 2022, manages the company’s commercial operations in the region to support Santen’s mission of delivering Happiness with Vision.
In the Asia market, where increasing number of people are living with vision impairment or blindness, she is leading efforts to provide treatment options and develop the ophthalmology ecosystem, including ensuring the quantitative and qualitative strengths of ophthalmologists and access points for treatment.
Jozica has accumulated over 20 years of experience in medical device/diagnostics and life sciences industry in her various senior leadership roles across APAC, EMEA and the US. Prior to Santen, she spent 14 of her 17 years with Roche in Asia Pacific holding senior executive positions focusing on business management, strategy, market development, marketing and sales as well as organizational transformation. Her most recent regional position was Head of Strategic Development for Asia Pacific, where she was driving strategic initiatives to shape the direction of its diagnostics business and position it for the future leadership. She built a network of strategic partnerships across Asia to improve access to innovative, high-quality healthcare/diagnostics solutions in numerous local markets.
Before joining Santen, as country manager of the Philippines, Jozica lead commercial operations for Roche Diagnostics Philippines. In addition to meeting her responsibilities to deliver key business results and transform the organization, she was instrumental in driving initiatives to increase access to high-quality diagnosis and to enable personalized healthcare becoming a reality in the Philippines. She collaborated with various stakeholders in the ecosystem to improve the country’s healthcare system by increasing access to quality care for Filipinos.
Jozica graduated from University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, with a bachelor’s degree in microbiology (Honors) and PhD in biomedicine specialized in biochemistry and molecular biology.
