Selected for ESG Indexes

Various ESG indexes are used to benchmark responsible investment. ESG indexes evaluate companies from environmental, social and governance (ESG) perspective, with the aim of promoting responsible investment from a long-term viewpoint. Santen Group's sustainability promotion efforts have been evaluated from the perspective of ESG and selected in ESG indexes inside and outside of Japan.

An index composed of corporations that achieved above-standard ESG scores in corporate surveys conducted by Sompo Risk Management & Health Care Inc. (in terms of E: environmental assessments) and by Integrex Inc. (in terms of S and G: social and corporate governance assessments).

Created by the global index provider FTSE Russell, the FTSE Blossom Index Series is designed to is designed to measure the performance of companies demonstrating strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices. The FTSE Blossom Index are used by a wide variety of market participants to create and assess responsible investment funds and other products.

A broad index developed by FTSE Russell in the United Kingdom. The index is incorporating overall ESG considerations. The index is comprised of companies with outstanding ESG initiatives which also have excellent management attitudes towards corporate climate change risks and opportunities.

An index developed by MSCI in the United States. The index selects companies in various sectors that excel in gender diversity from among the top Japanese stocks by market capitalization.

S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index

An Index developed by S&P Dow Jones Indices in the United States. The index evaluates corporate performance in terms of disclosure of information carbon efficiency.
