Glaucoma Patient Education Materials

Living well with glaucoma – Elevating your treatment

Patient empowerment plays a vital role in effective glaucoma care. When patients understand their condition and treatment, they’re more likely to stay on track with therapy, which will in turn improve their quality of life and long-term treatment outcomes. The glaucoma patient education materials here aim to elevate the standard of glaucoma care and empower patients to live well with the condition.

These patient materials are designed to:

  • Support patients in understanding glaucoma
  • Promote treatment adherence
  • Encourage meaningful conversations between patients and their eye care providers
  • Provide practical tips for patients to live well with glaucoma

This initiative is a collaboration between the Asia-Pacific Glaucoma Society (APGS) and Santen Asia, created to support ophthalmologists in educating patients across Asia. All content has been independently reviewed and approved by APGS to ensure medical accuracy and relevance. While Santen supported production, APGS maintained full editorial independence throughout the development process.
